“House Calls” is the Northwest Opera’s community engagement program to bring the performing arts to the people who may be unable to attend musical theater performances in Spokane. Northwest Opera was organized out of a passion for opera and musical theater and a desire to share the wonderful world of music with the community.
Our group is comprised of local singers from Northwest Opera productions, most of whom have trained for years, but don’t have regular opportunities to present their talents. Tim Campbell is the founder and Artistic Director of Northwest Opera. He earned a B.A. in Vocal Performance from the University of Montana and a M.A. in Opera Performance from the University of Texas in Austin.
Northwest Opera cast members perform selections from a wide range of repertory from opera and operetta to Broadway and the silver screen. Northwest Opera presents “House Calls” year-round and programs vary with the season. Because our cast members work regular 9-5 professional jobs, we prefer to perform on weekends. Performances run approximately 45 minutes. After the performance, audience members are encouraged to meet the singers.
To schedule a “House Call”, contact Northwest Opera at least three weeks in advance. We ask at least $100.00 per performance to cover expenses; however, we understand the possible financial constraints of your establishment.
