“House Calls” is the Northwest Opera’s™ community engagement program to bring the performing arts to the people who may be unable to attend musical theater performances in Spokane. Northwest Opera™ was organized out of a passion for opera and musical theater and a desire to share the wonderful world of music with the community.
Our group is comprised of local singers from Northwest Opera™ productions, most of whom have trained for years, but don’t have regular opportunities to present their talents. Tim Campbell is the founder and Artistic Director of Northwest Opera™. He earned a B.A. in Vocal Performance from the University of Montana and a M.A. in Opera Performance from the University of Texas in Austin.
Northwest Opera™ cast members perform selections from a wide range of repertory from opera and operetta to Broadway and the silver screen. Northwest Opera™ presents “House Calls” year-round and programs vary with the season. Because our cast members work regular 9-5 professional jobs, we prefer to perform on weekends. Performances run approximately 45 minutes. After the performance, audience members are encouraged to meet the singers.
To schedule a “House Call”, contact Northwest Opera™ at least three weeks in advance. We ask at least $100.00 per performance to cover expenses; however, we understand the possible financial constraints of your establishment.
